I’d like to start off by saying… people of all shapes, sizes, and ages, are just down right beautiful human beings. That’s how God made us!
Here’s what most people get WRONG with weight loss & getting healthy…
Listen, everyone wants a body they love looking at in the mirror…whether they admit it or not, but here’s the problem…
Typically, this is how the cycle goes and what most people get WRONG with weight loss, getting healthy, and most importantly.. maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle... * We get older, have babies, we settle down, our bodies change, and then we’re like “What the heck?”! * We get frustrated because our bodies don’t look like they did in high school, we can't seem to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight, or because our health, energy & stamina is being affected. So, we do all the crazy trends (you know… Keto, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, GOLO, diet pills, this diet - that diet….ALL OF IT!). You name it, just like me, you’ve probably tried it. So, we go through the motions for a few weeks or months, then we realize none of those things are sustainable.
We gain all of the weight back, plus some, and continue down the road of frustration. Until we wake up again one day, and can’t button our pants AGAIN, feel disgusting, hate what we see in the mirror, wish we had the energy to do things, wish our joints didn’t ache, & more. We are fed up! So, we research the latest magic trend and hop on the wagon… and the CYCLE CONTINUES. It’s honestly exhausting!!
What we FAIL to do is :
* Actually do something that works LONG TERM.
* Give ourselves grace if the weight doesn’t come off in a week. It certainly took more than a week to put it on.
* Understand that this has to be a LIFESTYLE change with NO END DATE > or you’ll keep ending up right back where you are.
Your body is not Amazon Prime. It’s not going to show up on your doorstep the next day. So stop treating it that way.
